Chapter 1

Seventy-five scientists crammed themselves into the incineration room to see the moment of truth, and this was definitely a health code violation considering the new pandemic raging through the world. Yet, they had to come. Sure, some others attended virtually. But, in the year 2057, deep fake was slicker than ever, so there was still no replacement for what one could see with one's own eyes.

This, of course, if they still had the use of them. Eyes were the target of the new virus, but we'll have more on that later.
